Paul E. Scanlon Realtor® Bio: Paul is a true Lexingtonian–born and raised here and having attended several different schools throughout his childhood, including Cassidy, Breckenridge, Morton and Henry Clay High schools and also Eastern Kentucky University. As a result, he is very knowledgeable of the different areas of the city—he has watched Lexington grow to become the great city that it is today and can tell you all about the neighborhoods new and old, the schools, businesses, people and politics. Paul’s experiences in the workplace began in sales at Dan Cohen Shoes when he was just 14. Two years later, he worked at Wheeler Pharmacy where he had to secretly teach himself to drive a stick shift on the job—great story to hear him tell! As he matured, Paul was determined to work in the television industry, so he took a job sweeping floors at WKYT-TV in 1974. This led to work as a camera operator and eventually a position on the sales staff, which was his ultimate goal. That first year in sales, he was honored with the Super Optimist Award, which set the tone for his next eight years of successfully helping clients develop their marketing plans. In 1985, He launched AD-SUCCESS Marketing in the basement of his home, and quickly developed a reputation for excellence and integrity. As his client list grew, the company moved into a suite of offices, added a team of staff and technology and took its place among Lexington’s most respected marketing concerns. As if he didn’t have enough to do, in 1997 Paul was asked to run for a seat on the Fayette County School Board and won by getting over 80% of the vote. He served for 4 years until 2001 when he began serving as Chairman of the school board. As Paul says, “That was a REAL education.” In 2006, Paul took his experiences in sales and running his own marketing business to the real estate world and began working as a Realtor for Keller Williams Bluegrass Realty. Paul achieved great success as a Realtor by handling every transaction meticulously with attention to detail and achieved a high level of satisfaction from his clients. Looking for a new challenge, Paul joined the Cypress Residential Group team of Realtors in December 2011. We are very proud to have Paul as part of our company and look forward to seeing him grow and excel as he takes on his new role at Cypress. |
